Benchmark Custom Business Applications

Software built around the way your business works.

When spreadsheets, disconnected tools or repetitive tasks slow your team down, Benchmark can design a custom web application around your process.

Drawing on more than 34 years of retail flooring sales experience, we build practical tools that help teams manage information, serve customers and keep work moving—from the first inquiry through aftercare.

Pricing determined by scope.

START WITH THE WORK

What would make your business easier to run?

These are examples of projects we can scope together. Each application is designed for its agreed users, data and workflow.

01

Quoting & approvals

Organize project details, apply agreed business rules and guide estimates or requests through review and approval.

02

Customer & team portals

Give authorized people a clear place to view information, share updates and take the next step.

03

Workflows & dashboards

Replace repeated data entry and scattered spreadsheets with forms, status tracking and useful views of the work.

04

Connections between tools

Connect supported systems to reduce duplicate effort. Access, provider capabilities, data flow and integration costs are confirmed before development.

AVAILABLE FOR CUSTOM DEVELOPMENT

Find business information and take the next step with less searching. An optional addition to Benchmark Custom Business Applications, designed around your company, team and sales lifecycle.

IN DEVELOPMENT · INTERNAL PREVIEW

Find the records you need

The first release focuses on authorized customer, project, saved estimate and contract records, with source references and existing company, location and user permissions. Saved estimate values come from Benchmark’s protected calculation workflow.

Customer activation follows acceptance testing. The initial interface is record search; open-ended AI conversation is a later enhancement.

CONFIGURATION & TESTING REQUIRED

Connect a compatible AI tool

An optional read-only MCP connection can let an approved AI client use supported Benchmark tools. Client registration, sign-in, permissions and compatibility must be verified before activation.

PLANNED INTEGRATIONS

Support the full sales lifecycle

CRM follow-up, appointments, store Sales Rotation, payment status, customer portal assistance, aftercare and re-engagement. Each connection depends on its underlying application and an agreed integration scope.

PLANNED CAPABILITIES

Prepare and review the next action

Tasks, permitted record updates and message preparation, with human review for designated actions. Additional inventory, scheduling or accounting connections can be scoped separately.

Pricing determined by scope. Setup, supported connections, AI usage, hosting and ongoing support are identified in your written proposal. This is not automatically included in another Benchmark subscription.

Roadmap items describe intended development, not currently available functions or a delivery-date commitment. Your agreement identifies exactly what will be delivered.

Discuss Benchmark Business Assistant

DESIGNED AROUND THE SALES LIFECYCLE

Every feature should serve a practical purpose.

Customer acquisition. Education. Closing the sale. Aftercare. Earning a customer for life.

We begin with who uses the application, what they need to accomplish and where work gets delayed. That keeps the design grounded in real conversations, decisions and handoffs.

FROM IDEA TO WORKING APPLICATION

A clear process, with review points along the way.

  1. Understand the workflow

Review the people, current tools, pain points and desired outcome. Determine whether a custom application is a practical fit.

  2. Define the scope

Agree on features, user permissions, data, integrations, deliverables, milestones and acceptance criteria in a written proposal.

  3. Review a prototype

Walk through the agreed screens and key tasks. Confirm the direction before the full build.

  4. Build & test

Develop the approved scope and test the workflows, access controls, data handling and supported devices.

  5. Launch & support

Complete the agreed acceptance review, deployment, documentation and handoff. Confirm ongoing hosting, maintenance and support.

PROJECT-BASED PROPOSALS

Pricing determined by scope.

The price depends on the workflows, features, user roles, integrations, data migration, testing and support your project requires. We provide a written proposal before paid work begins.

Development

Discovery, design, prototype, build, testing and launch are identified in the agreed scope, with milestones, revision allowances and payment terms.

Ongoing costs

Hosting, maintenance, support, usage charges and third-party services are identified separately. Additional features or changes require an approved scope and price.

Ownership and access are agreed before development. Your business owns its business data. The proposal defines custom-code ownership or licensing, any retained Benchmark components, production accounts, export options and handoff responsibilities.

Projects are web applications accessed through a browser. Native iOS or Android apps and app-store publishing require a separate feasibility review and scope. Existing Benchmark subscriptions and website packages do not automatically include custom application development.

PLANNED / BENCHMARK DESIGN START

You design. Benchmark builds.

Pay $99 one time to shape your website design within an agreed design period and credit allowance, then hand it to Benchmark. The fee includes the handoff design review and the full $99 is credited toward your approved build.

We review your design before quoting backend development and completion. After you approve the scope and quote, Benchmark builds, tests and validates the finished site, with one agreed recheck. Hosting, third-party services, ongoing support and separately selected subscriptions are itemized separately.

Design workspace access is in development. The allowance and handoff terms are confirmed before payment; no subscription or charge starts from an inquiry.

The planned $99 experience includes guided practice before paid credits begin, one remote orientation of up to 15 minutes and the handoff design review. Choose features with plain-language guidance and hand over a rough design whenever you are ready. See how we help you get started →
