UNDERSTAND THE VALUE. EXPLORE THE DETAILS.

One business.
Bring the pieces together.

In today’s digital world, customers meet your business in more than one place. Benchmark connects accurate business information, useful website content and a clear next step around the way those customers make decisions.

THE SHARED STARTING POINT

One accurate business story.

We establish a reference for the business facts you approve: your public and legal names, services, real locations or service area, contacts and relevant operating details. That reference guides the agreed website and listing work.

We call this canonical truth: the approved source of business facts. It does not mean identical copy everywhere. A service page, location page and directory listing can serve different purposes while agreeing on the facts.

A website’s canonical URL is a different concept. It identifies the preferred address for a particular page. Both deserve accurate configuration, but one is business information and the other is a page setting.

FOLLOW ONE CUSTOMER

From finding you to reaching the right team.

FIND

A listing starts the visit.

A homeowner finds a nearby service business. The listed address, hours and phone should describe the intended business.

DECIDE

The website answers the question.

The page explains the relevant service and location, with honest proof and a useful next action.

CONTACT

The request keeps the choice.

The selected service or branch accompanies the inquiry so the next conversation starts with context.

If the pieces disagree: an old phone number may lead elsewhere, a location page may describe another branch, or an inquiry may ask the visitor to start over. This is an illustrative example, not a measured customer-loss claim.

FOR THE CURIOUS

What people see should match the information behind it.

The visible page explains your business to customers. Titles and descriptions summarize pages; applicable structured data describes business and service facts; canonical URLs identify preferred page addresses; indexing instructions express intended search access.

We compare those settings with approved facts and visible content. They serve different purposes and do not need identical wording. Private or demonstration pages can appropriately have different indexing instructions.

Search and AI systems decide how to use available information. Accurate configuration does not guarantee rankings, indexing, AI recommendations or sales.

STEP BY STEP, WHEN YOU WANT IT

How we do the agreed work.

  1. Understand the business. Confirm goals, current touchpoints and the customer questions that matter.
  2. Approve the facts. Establish the business-information reference and identify facts still requiring confirmation.
  3. Define the scope. Agree on pages, listings, locations, features, responsibilities, access, timing and costs before paid work.
  4. Compare and prioritize. Separate supported conflicts, improvements and missing evidence; choose what to address first.
  5. Implement approved work. Update the agreed website or submit authorized listing corrections. Extra work and provider costs require approval.
  6. Verify the result. Inspect the experience and relevant settings. Check live inquiry receipt within the agreed access; record unresolved dependencies.
  7. Handoff and maintain. Supply the agreed record and ownership information. Choose self-service, agreed updates or optional monitoring.

Submitting a directory correction does not guarantee publication. A form confirmation does not alone prove delivery. Reports distinguish what was observed, corrected, verified and still unavailable.

WHAT COULD YOUR WEBSITE DO?

Choose capabilities around your customer’s decisions.

Show your work through projects, answer questions in a searchable Knowledge Center, or guide visitors toward a more useful inquiry. A capability belongs in the site when it helps your customers and fits your business.

Essentials includes Ask an Expert. Enhanced adds a Project Center with up to eight initial entries and one NextStep questionnaire. Enhanced Plus adds a searchable Knowledge Center. Other capabilities follow their named package allowances or an approved separate quote.

YOUR PACE. YOUR LEVEL OF DETAIL.

Choose how much you want to know.

Start with what matters to your business. Want the overview, a closer look, or the step-by-step process? Follow the pins whenever you’re curious, then continue where you left off. You can want a quick answer in one place and every detail in another.

Teal · Why it mattersThe customer benefit and a practical example.

Navy · How it worksThe method, steps and information needed.

Gold · The Benchmark standardWhat we check or commit to within the agreed scope.

Purple · Website possibilitiesWhat can be added, which package includes it and what costs extra.

Every pin has a label as well as a color. Open it with a tap, click or keyboard; close the explanation to return to your place. Prices, ownership, responsibilities and limitations stay visible on service pages and in your quote.

You don’t need to diagnose it yourself.

Choose a free Snapshot when you are unsure. If you already know your project or repair, discuss it directly.
