The direct answer

A route may work after navigating from the homepage but fail when opened directly. Search results and shared links usually arrive through that direct path.

Start with the evidence

Open a guide or location page in a fresh session and reload it. Compare the result with the same page reached through internal navigation.

Make the change deliberately

Configure hosting fallback and application routing together. Test valid deep links and invalid URLs so fixing one does not produce soft 404s for the other.
