Glue-down luxury vinyl tile, commonly called glue-down LVT, is frequently used in offices, retail stores, healthcare facilities, multifamily common areas, restaurants, and other commercial environments. Because the flooring is bonded directly to the substrate, it generally provides a firm surface under rolling chairs, carts, equipment, and foot traffic. It also allows installers to create transitions with limited height differences between adjoining flooring products. Individual planks or tiles may be replaced when damaged, although replacement requires careful removal and preparation of the affected area. Commercial glue-down LVT is available in many wood, stone, and abstract visuals, making it useful when a project needs both performance and design flexibility. The concrete or subfloor must be properly prepared before installation. Moisture conditions, flatness, surface contamination, adhesive compatibility, temperature, and site conditions can all affect the finished installation.
