Mosaics can serve as backsplashes, shower-floor surfaces, wall accents, niches, borders, and decorative features. Application approval must be checked carefully. A polished stone or metal mosaic may be suitable for a wall but not a wet walking surface. Sheet spacing, grout color, sealing, cutting, and compatible mortar affect the finished appearance.
