A test area is prepared using the planned cleaning, grinding, patching, priming, adhesive, trowel, flooring, rolling, and curing procedures. After the specified period, the flooring is removed or evaluated to observe adhesive transfer, bond strength, residue, substrate failure, contamination, or unexpected reactions. A successful bond test provides useful site-specific information but does not replace required concrete moisture testing, pH testing, or manufacturer approval. Conditions can vary across a building, so one test may not represent every room or slab placement. Locations and results should be documented.
Key considerations
- commercial flooring bond test, adhesive bond test flooring, test flooring adhesion to concrete
- flooring bond test, flooring adhesive, commercial flooring
- bond strength, compatibility verification, risk reduction
- site-specific testing, documented results, trial installation
