Self-leveling materials are mixed and placed over a properly prepared, primed substrate. They flow more readily than conventional patching products but still require controlled placement and tools. They can correct widespread low areas, cover some embedded systems, create smoother transitions, or prepare rough concrete for resilient flooring, carpet, tile, and other finishes. The term self-leveling does not mean the material can be poured without planning. Mixing water, depth, primer, temperature, expansion joints, pour sequence, and curing time must be controlled. The product must be rated for the substrate, flooring, loads, moisture conditions, and final adhesive.

Key considerations

  • commercial self leveling underlayment, level concrete before flooring, floor leveling compound commercial
  • self-leveling underlayment, floor leveling, commercial flooring
  • flatness correction, smooth finish, load support
  • flowable cementitious material, variable depth, broad-area correction
