MMA flooring is used where shutdown time is limited, including commercial kitchens, food-processing areas, retail facilities, cold spaces, manufacturing areas, and renovation projects. The system can cure much faster than many conventional resinous products and may be installed at temperatures unsuitable for some other resins. MMA materials have a strong odor during installation, so ventilation, containment, safety procedures, and occupied-building coordination are essential. System selection should consider substrate moisture, thermal cycling, chemical exposure, slip resistance, thickness, cleaning, and the qualifications of the installer. Fast cure does not reduce the need for proper preparation.
