Bleach can discolor quartz, damage sealers, lighten wood, corrode metal, and alter some solid-surface or laminate finishes. Natural stone may also react to high-pH chemistry. Never mix bleach with ammonia, acids, or other cleaners. A milder approved disinfectant is often safer for routine use.
