A seam that appears subtle from one angle may be more visible from another. Cross-light from windows or fixtures can highlight the seam line. Vacuuming changes pile direction and can temporarily increase contrast. The seam should remain closed, secure, and free from raveling. A visible but structurally sound seam is not automatically defective.
