SPC cores utilize limestone to achieve a higher density, making the floor extremely rigid and resistant to heavy impacts and temperature fluctuations. This makes SPC ideal for commercial spaces or areas with high direct sunlight. WPC cores incorporate wood fiber and foaming agents, resulting in a lighter, thicker plank that offers more cushioning underfoot and superior thermal insulation. While WPC is softer, it may be more susceptible to indentation from heavy furniture compared to the rigid, dense nature of SPC.
