SPC flooring typically has a dense, rigid core that provides strong resistance to indentation and dimensional movement. Its firm construction can work well in busy households and areas with heavy furniture. WPC flooring commonly has a thicker, less dense core containing foamed polymer material. This can create a slightly softer feel and may improve sound absorption. Neither construction is automatically superior. Surface finish, locking system, wear layer, attached pad, manufacturing quality, substrate preparation, and warranty limitations all affect performance. Both products can be damaged by excessive heat, direct sunlight, poor floor flatness, restricted movement, or improper installation.
