Engineered quartz is often restricted outdoors because ultraviolet exposure can affect resins and color. The material, adhesive, substrate, cabinets, grout, sealant, and support system must all be approved for exterior conditions. Covered patios reduce direct exposure but do not eliminate temperature or moisture changes.
