Is it safe to use steam mops on luxury vinyl?
Most luxury vinyl flooring manufacturers strictly prohibit the use of steam mops. The extreme heat and high-pressure steam can penetrate the seams of the planks, potentially damaging the locking mechanism, softening the adhesive, or causing the vinyl to warp and peel over time.
