Use a soft cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner designed for marble or calcium-based stone.
Acidic products such as vinegar, lemon cleaners, and many bathroom cleaners can etch marble. Spills from citrus, wine, tomatoes, coffee, and cosmetics should be removed promptly. Avoid abrasive pads and powders because marble scratches more easily than granite. Sealer can help with staining but does not prevent etching.
