Transition strips bridge gaps and level out height differences between different flooring materials. To select the correct one, measure the height of both surfaces accurately. A T-molding works for floors of equal height, while a reducer creates a sloped transition for uneven heights. Ensure the transition strip color complements your LVP or opt for a neutral finish. Most importantly, ensure the transition strip is installed so the floor can still move underneath it to accommodate expansion and contraction.
